Police message

Prynhawn dda

A parent of a Y3 pupil in the Maesglas are has notified the police that a man was on the estate approaching young teenage boys claiming to be a talent scout for Britain's Got Talent looking for good skaters and skateboarders. He had no accreditation and the boys were sensible enough to avoid him.

Be sensible and  contact the police if you see anything.

There was an incident of indecent exposure reported to Police on Saturday 11th June by a 14 year old girl in the city centre. Unfortunately, the female left whilst officers were speaking to the male concerned and no statement was obtained.

If you are that girl please let me know as the police need a statement.

Next week

Next week sees the Year 8 students begin their transition from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4. The Pryderi students will be joining us for TFL from Monday.

Please make every effort to make them feel welcome and a part of your form as many of them are concerned about the move. As the older students in the house you need to set a good example to these students. I know you can.

Next week also sees us joined by some new staff Mr Gilchrist is replaced by Miss Squires, Mr Webb replaced by Miss Butcher and Mr Walsh by Mr Llewellyn. We are also joined by Miss Murray and Miss Curtis as co tutors.

Year 10 - extended work experience

If you are a current Year 10 and have chosen Extended Work placements as an option next year for Year 11 – they need to bring me the letter from the employer confirming they have been accepted.

You were all told this was a condition of choosing the extended work experience option that you would need to find your own placements.

I need confirmation and also a work experience form needs to be filled in.

If I don’t have confirmation and a completed work experience form then you may need to change your option choice.

Mr Hoskins can print off a form for yo.
